These spectacular vintage glass beads were created in the Bavarian region of Germany in the 1950s. The glass was dipped in 22 karat gold and then certain spaces were cut away. A bead shop in Arizona bought the entire collection when the factory closed, and Duncan Designs was lucky enough to find them in AZ several years ago. Duncan Designs’ 22k earrings use 14k gold-filled wire for the findings and small accent beads. Everything that touches your skin is 14k gold, but the core is a different metal. The last picture for each pair of earrings shows the pictured earring’s size compared to other earrings. It is denoted by the gold arrow. If the bead is fairly small, we have used the word “petite” as part of its title.
 

Due to the age of these vintage beads, there are some variations among them which makes them all the more distinctive. Duncan Designs has done its best to try to match the color of the bead during our photographing, but since these beads are glass, they have many hues depending if they are in the sun or in a shadow.
